Prison Break fans will be sad to hear that after four seasons the show is coming to an end. Fox executive Kevin Reilly confirmed Tuesday that this will be the show's final season. He told E!

Prison Break had a hell of a run, but the run has ended... The show has just played out. You get to a point creatively where you feel all the stories have been told and you want to end strong and not gimp out in the end of the season." Reilly did confirm that the show will finish the duration of the season, with at least four episodes and that the ending will not be a disappointment. He said that producers, "Have a really cool ending actually. I know where they end and it's a hell of an idea."
The announcement wasn't exactly a shock. The show returned for a fourth season with dismal ratings that failed to pick up. Honestly, how many times can you break out of prison, get caught up in some ridiculous scenario and have to escape again? It's no surprise viewers lost interest.

They are right, they did break out of prison a long long long time ago, I guess its better to quit while your up there. BUT IM STILL OUTRAGED
Hey man, better to be gone than not to be remembered and 'Prison Break' was well on its way to not being remembered. I mean how many seasons does it take to break outta prison-apparently one too many...lol
