Amerie Performs New Material and Talks New Album "Cymatika Vol. 1"

Ameriie recently performed some new material at the Cotton Club in France,she sang her buzz single “Who’s Gonna Love U" and another song from her upcoming pop album, "Cymatika Vol. 1"

“It’s completely different!” she tells Glamazons. “It’s not a hip hop, R&B, soul album at all. It’s called CYMATIKA Volume 1, I’ll have other volumes as well.”

“Cymatika is the study of visual sound. They’ll put sand on a plate that is hooked up to wires and with certain sounds, vibration goes through to the plate and creates a geometric shape out of the sand. You’ll go from C note to D note and when you change the note, the sand’s formation changes. When you go back to C, the sand goes back to its original formation. It’s fascinating. As humans, we’re all energy and light and spirit; and sound plays a part in that because sound is simply vibrating energy. That’s what this album is about…about life and who we are, not being afraid to be who we are, and not forgetting our spirit.”

“The album is influenced by new wave and acid house, which I explored in my album “Because I Love It” in 2007, which was released in Europe. For the fans who heard that, they’ll say “Oh, I could see this coming.” For fans who loved the first album, they’re going to be like “What is this?!” (laughs) But I grew up listening to everything, and this is where I am now. And it feels right for me.”-Source

Amerie's Anticipated New Single Due November

Amerie fans should be very happy right now because according to her manager, her "1st single 60 days away!! US,UK,Paris,Japan,Korea". This will be the first single taken from her new album ‘Cymatika Vol. 1′, set to drop early 2011.

I am anxious to hear what her album sounds like, Amerie is one of those underrated stars. I hope she gets the success she needs on this new album.

Peep the official music video for Amerie's new single "Heard Em All", the clip was directed by Anthony Mandler (Run This Town, Disturbia, The One) and is going to serve Amerie as the 2nd single off her forthcoming CD "In Love & War". Watch the video below:

Behind The Scenes: Amerie - "Heard Em All" Music Video

Check out a behind the scenes look at the making of Amerie's new music video "Heard Em All". Heard Em All is the 2nd single taken from her new album "In Love & War" which comes out in November.

The video was directed by Anthony Mandler (Rihanna "Disturbia", MJB "The One"), so expect it to be hot! The choereography looks interesting, im loving the whole dark futuristic thing they have going on. It should be a really good video.

Amerie is getting ready for the release of her new album "In Love And War" on September 25th. A new song titled "Heard Em All" recently hit the net and is said to be the album's 2nd single, listen to it below:

The Sean Garrett and Eric Hudson produced cut is a big time banger, I dont know why they slowed down the progression process of her album with "Why R U", that was not a strong statement single at all. This is, and I hope it kicks off the album for her. "Heard Em All" would be impacting radio next week.
