Events: 2010 Keep A Child Alive: The 2010 Black Ball

Singer Alicia Keys held her annual Black Ball event for her Keep A Child Alive foundation in New York City on yesterday (Thurs. Sept. 30th). The purpose of the event is to, "bring celebrity and pihlantrophy together to fulfill hopes, dreams and raise funds for children and families with HIV/AIDS in Africa and India." Attendees of this years gathering included, of course, Alicia & Husband Swizz Beatz as well as Usher, Whitney Houston not photographed (on carpet) Beyoncé and Jay-Z as well as a host of others. Cute Vid: Beyoncé Line-Dances At West Orange Block Party

According to the poster of the vid, this took place on Sept. 18th in a N.J. neighborhood and this is what they had to say:

Went to a Big block party in West Orange..the same block where Jay Z mom lives. Jay Z and Beyonce went to visit his mom when the DJ start playing music, Beyonce came out to dance with the neighbors.

Who wouldn't be nervous dancing next to Beyoncé? LOL!

Get Ready To "Party" With Beyonce's New Album

Beyonce is working hard on her fourth studio album, over the VMA weekend, producer Sean Garrett, dished out some info of Queen B's new album.

“I am going in the studio with Beyoncé this week to work on her next record,” Garrett told the Music Mix at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards. “I think we are doing a lot of up-tempo records for this one. She’s in such a good place right now in life that she is interested in making party music, definitely.”

I'm happy to hear this, Imagine a Beyonce album with mid-tempo cut and slow jams only..it'll be a catastrophe.

I Love everything about it, Beyonce really impressed/amazed me with this one. Loved all the different looks, even Gaga was on point in this video, Fantastic, one of the best videos of the year, I think.

Singer Beyonce Knowles rented a lavish $4,000-a-night Charles Forte Presidential Suite at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester, UK, while performing nearby this week, but there just wasn't enough space for her luggage. Tough life. After struggling to find space for her 12 bags, she finally had her entourage book a second room for her stuff.

A source at Liverpool’s Malmaison hotel, where the star took a $283-a-night room for her luggage, said: "She had seven suitcases, three hand-luggage bags and two boxes, all for her mammoth concert. In the cases there were, apparently, 14 dresses, lots of shoes, make-up and 25 wigs."

It took four helpers to carry her luggage up the stairs to the room, which was situated close to the Liverpool Echo Arena, where she performed twice this week.

Beyonce is not the only singer who refuses to travel light. Last year, Mariah Carey flew to London for a three-day trip – and brought 20 suitcases with her. A source said at the time: “The guys at the airport seemed to be struggling under the load, but Mariah and her husband, Nick Cannon, just breezed straight through.”-Source
