Mary J. Blige Renames Album Title To "Stronger With Each Tear"

It was recently revealled that Mary J blige has renamed the title of her forthcoming album:

The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul’s ninth studio effort will now go by the name Stronger With Each Tear, Rap-Up.com has exclusively learned. It was previously just called Stronger. The set is still due December 22.

She will perform her latest single "I Am" live at this Sundays, American Music Awards.

This is the video for Mary J's first single "The One" featuring rapper Drake. I was one of probably thousands that ran over to her site yesterday for the premiere, lol. All in all, I love it. Although parts of it reminded me of "Just Fine" I really think it's a great video, and it adds more to the song. Thoughts?

Movie Trailer: Tyler Perry's "I Can Do Bad All By Myself "

Check out the trailer for the new Tyler Perry movie, which is titled "I Can Do Bad All By Myself". The movie features Taraji P. Henson & Mary J. Blige, which hits theatres September 11th, check out the offical trailer below:

The film is based on Tyler Perry’s 2005 stage play and brings back his famed character Madea. It also centers around April (played by Henson) and her struggles of life, including that of caring for her niece and nephews. April meets Sandino (played by Rodriguez) who helps to change her prospective of life and goes on from there. I Can Do Bad All By Myself hits theaters September 11th, 2009.

Looks like its gonna be a winner!

Mary J. Blige: I Want to Introduce The World To Carzy Mary + Album Out in November

Mary J. Blige recently confirmed that "The One" is indeed the first single off her new album which is set to drop in November.

"The One" introduces the world to "Crazy Mary." "It was for effect," she said of using Auto-Tune. "I wanted 'Crazy Mary' to get her shine on. She couldn't get her shine with my regular voice. I used the effect. I used it as a telephone effect or reverb."

In responce to the whole Auto-Tune debate: "I won't say that it bothers me, because people do what they have to do," she told Martinez. "I can't pass judgment. Everyone else does what they do, and everyone has their own opinion. To each his own. Do what you do, because I do what I do."

Everyone is coming out with a new album this year. Whitney Housten, Mariah Carey, Jordin Sparks, the competion is fierce. I really like "The One" its a hot record, cant wait to hear more new material from her.

Musiq Soulchild performed his latest single "Ifuleave" live in concert at Alltel Wireless' "Words of Wisdom" event on rolling out TV.

The track originally features vocals from Mary J Blige, tough cookie to follow, his backup singer did a terrible job of filling in for her, they should have stuck to the back up track, she sounded a mess. Okay performance in total.
