"I wanna be the next Will Smith," the 21-year-old recently said, restating his growing passion for acting while sitting poolside at L.A.'s Le Montrose Suite Hotel. "After the eighth album, I'm done. I already feel it. I love acting. I love my music like I said, but I feel it. After this one, probably one more in me and that's eight. Like, I'm one [album] behind Nas, and that's crazy."
LP number seven comes out later this year. It's called The Pedigree.
His music career hasn't really exactly been flying off the wall. Definatltey not after that disaster of an album he put out with Omarion last year.
He just really gets on my nerves; no other celeb irritates me as much as he does. Good radiance I’d say
he is not a bad actor at all; at least in the movies that i have seen him in, he has done pretty good.
ReplyDeletei am not mad at him for wanting to retire from rap because the game is definitely not what it used to be and it is time for him to set and reach new goals.
:::Marcus LANGFORD:::
i completely disagree with Marcus up there cuz i think the game is getting better and better with new and refreshing artists like kanye and lupe. i dont know why people say that hip hop isnt what it used to be. go back and listen to old hip hop, today's hip hop is alot better and alot more lyrical than it was back in the early 90s. i know, i have been a hip hop head since before i could walk!!! i mean i remember asking my mom to get me the fresh prince's albums when i was a little ass kid! but i do agree with you, Bow Wow is the most annoying nigga i have ever seen in my life

I agree with Marcus Langford.
ReplyDeleteKanye West & Lupe Fiasco are amazing & there are other talented artists,too, but to me, Hip Hop is not what it used to be. It's like almost anything with a hot beat will do. And while today's rap has gotten flashier & fancier, there's something missing & IMO, you have to look to old school hip hop/rap & make your own comparison.
I think Bow Wow is making a good decision to retire. Sooo many people have come & gone from hip hop, you can't count them all. Unless you're part of the elite few who's had unbelievable success, it's not going to last forever. You have to have a Plan B, C, D, E, .......
He is wise to think about his future - rapping has changed from the good ole days, when the music had a message like "Marvin Gaye - What's Going On" Speaking of ole skool; will any one of you be attending Flashback 2008, sponsored by Tom Joyner and KISS 104.1.
ReplyDeleteyeah, maybe acting is really for him. well, good luck to him. ^^
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, this kid kinda works my nerves.
ReplyDeletehe needs to retire from rapping.. great move lil bow wow... might just be growing up after all
