After performing at the Hard Rock Hotel Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday (Sept. 18), singer-songwriter Bruno Mars (born Gene Hernandez)was arrested early Sunday morning on suspicion of cocaine possession.
According to a report from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Mars (real name: Peter Hernandez) was arrested at approximately 1:50 A.M. after hotel security discovered the singer with narcotics and detained him. Mars was found with 2.6 grams of "white powdery substance" believed to be cocaine. He was released at 7:45 A.M. on Sunday after being taken to an area detention center.-Source
